One special aspect of our Kindred Spirits: Honorin One special aspect of our Kindred Spirits: Honoring Animals in Death exhibition is an on-site memorial that includes a space for personal reflection. The three of us chose to honor the unnamed and unknown coyotes. We have a couple coyotes on loan from the University of Arizona’s teaching collection. We each wrote from own perspective about what the coyote memorial means to us. Hannah created a beautiful carving and book that includes our thoughts, as well as a second book for all of you to share your thoughts. This was a collaborative production, including incredible help in construction from Craig Ivanyi, and Erik Rakestraw in the ASDM botany department.
